The Greatest Tree Was Once a Small Seed…
“The greatest tree was once a small seed thrown into a dark place. And there it lay, buried until someone watered it. Then it broke through and oh, how it grew!” ~Chanti Niven
My raison d’ĂȘtre – my reason for living is to learn (and never stop learning) so that I may teach. I believe I was born to teach.
Through my life, I’ve discovered that the greatest lessons are not delivered out of a book, they are delivered through painful experience. I’ve found myself in a dark place more than once but then I remember, that I cannot help anyone out of a pit that I have not been in myself. And let me tell you, my friend, I’ve been in quite a few pits. Illness, divorce, assault while surrounded by political unrest in South Africa-my former homeland.
This is why, even when I find myself in the deepest and darkest of places, I know with some certainty that somewhere down the line, I will be reaching out to someone in the same place and I will be able to say, “I know how it feels. Here, let me show you the way out!”
Just remember, a seed will sprout and a great tree will begin to grow. Let’s water it together!
